I'd planned to play some of my favorite records on the eve of my birthday, but ended up waiting a week. I think during that week, the records sitting in my flight case matured like a fine wine, setting up a complex bouquet of funk, electronic glitches, politics and pleasure. Crate conditioned, this set was fun to play and a reminder that if I could have just one technology on a desert island, it'd be two turntables and a mixer.
